The Dubuque Community School District has announced the appointment of Lisa Demmer as the district’s next Chief Financial Officer, pending approval by the district’s Board of Education. Demmer will begin transitioning into the role and will succeed current Chief Financial Officer Kevin Kelleher, who will retire in December. As chief financial officer, Demmer will serve on the district’s executive leadership team and will have oversight of the district’s finance and budgeting, as well as the operational areas of food and nutrition services, buildings and grounds, and transportation. Demmer has served on the district’s business and finance team since 2014 as both a budget coordinator and accountant.
