On Monday, the Dubuque City Council unanimously approved the rezoning of land along Wood Street to allow for 16 small houses to be built through Habitat for Humanity for aspiring homeowners. Mount Pleasant Home has sold the land to Habitat for Humanity. Now that the City Council has given its approval, Habitat for Humanity plans an orientation session with potential homeowners at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Dubuque Multicultural Family Center.
