Fire officials say the porch of a Dubuque home was damaged in a fire Wednesday, though no injuries were reported. Dubuque firefighters were dispatched at 12:48 p.m. to a residence on Kaufmann Avenue after police officers driving by saw smoke billowing over the porch. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a working fire with smoke showing. Police evacuated three children from the home, and firefighters quickly knocked down the fire. No injuries were reported, and three dogs also were unharmed. A report says the fire was limited to the porch and that the rest of the house still is habitable.
