A Dubuque woman has been sentenced to 18 months probation for her role in a disturbance that took place in Dubuque. 32 year old Brittany Herber received the deferred judgment in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to a charge of unlawful assembly. With a deferred judgment, the record of the case will be expunged if all probation obligations are met. Reports say that Herber was one of several people involved in an April 29th disturbance in the area of 18th and Jackson streets where officers responded to a report of shots fired. A review of traffic camera footage showed two groups of people attempting to fight and at least seven people were involved including Herber. Police later met with Herber, who said an unknown person fired a gun at her. Four juveniles also were arrested in connection with the incident.
