Crescent Community Health Pharmacy was hacked

The Crescent Community Health Center has addressed a security incident that they came across in December 2023. The center noticed that there was unauthorized access to some email accounts within the pharmacy department around December 15, 2023. The incident was reported to law enforcement and an investigation was launched to determine what information had been involved. Following the investigation, it was determined that the incident had occurred between the dates of December 10, 2023 and December 13, 2023. Data mining was conducted over several months to help identify any individuals who were possibly impacted and what information of theirs may have been affected. A letter was sent out by the health center on Monday, August 26 to those who may have been affected. The letters included additional information, outlined the personal information that was possibly impacted for each person and also provided a toll-free number that people can call if they want to learn more about the incident.
