On Friday, the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce hosted their semi-annual Tri-State Mayor’s Breakfast. Mayors and municipal leaders from Dyersville, Dubuque, Asbury, Peosta, Platteville, Holy Cross, and East Dubuque attended to discuss the successes and challenges faced by individual communities and the tri-state community as a whole. Overall, the atmosphere was optimistic with talk of the future. Dubuque Mayor Brad Cavanagh said as a region we are creating change and in 2026/2027 we’re going to look back in awe at what we’ve accomplished.
Successes for the region included Platteville’s upcoming fire facility, various childcare facilities across the region, a reduction in property tax, and additional trailways, amongst other projects.
