Authorities said one person was killed and three others injured in a three-vehicle crash in Dubuque County Tuesday afternoon. Dubuque County Sheriff Joe Kennedy said that one driver died before being air-lifted for treatment. There were three other injured people: A mother and child were transported to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the third vehicle was transported via private vehicle to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center with minor injuries. The crash occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 52 South at the intersection with Kemp Road. Names of individuals involved in the crash have not been released. An investigation indicates a driver crossed the center line on Highway 52 South and struck another vehicle head-on, leading to a crash with a third vehicle. The crash remains under investigation
