Cascade man arrested for second offense OWI after crash

Authorities said an intoxicated driver was injured in a Dubuque County crash and subsequently arrested. 32-year-old Kain J. Hardin of Cascade, was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment,. According to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, Hardin was westbound on Garryowen Road near Whitewater Drive at about 7:40 p.m. Friday when his vehicle lost traction and entered a ditch. The vehicle traveled through the ditch and struck a utility pole. Court documents state that Hardin failed a field sobriety test and was arrested on a charge of second-offense driving while intoxicated. Hardin also was cited with failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
