NTSB investigating fatal plane crash in Jones County

Federal officials report they are investigating a plane crash in Jones County, Iowa. The National Transportation Safety Board posted to social media that it is investigating a crash that occurred Monday afternoon near Monticello. The Flight Safety Foundation reports on its website that the crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m. Monday and resulted in fatal injuries for the occupant of the plane. The single-engine plane was registered to East Iowa Air, Inc., of Bennett, Iowa, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
