Eligible older adults can apply for $50 in vouchers to use at local farmers markets. Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging’s Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program has a limited amount of vouchers to be distributed by Sept. 30, according to an online announcement. The vouchers can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at farmers markets through Oct. 31. Eligible adults must by 60 or older, live in the agency’s service area and have a household income at or below 185% of the federal poverty level.
