The $47 million Hilton hotel next to Q Casino + Resort is expected to open at the end of the year. The new building that will soon house Key Hotel is “really coming together,” casino facilities director Rob Korman told the board of the DRA, the nonprofit license holder for Dubuque’s two casinos, during the board’s monthly meeting Tuesday. Workers are insulating the building, installing sheet metal siding, putting windows in place and completing electrical, mechanical and plumbing work, Korman said. The building’s electrical service recently was turned on, and Hilton representatives just completed a walkthrough.
