Estimated $85,000 damages in Dubuque garage fire

The Dubuque Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call late Thursday evening , from a resident on Alta Vista St reporting smoke and fire coming from their neighbor’s detached garage. The response brought 17 firefighters in total for the fire. The fire was fully extinguished shortly after.  The fire is under investigation and not suspicions in nature. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported. The residents were not displaced. initial property and content losses are estimated at $85,000 The Dubuque Fire Department was assisted on scene by the Dubuque Police Department.
