The University of Iowa Hawkeye football team announced Sunday that they will be facing Vanderbilt in the ReliaQuest Bowl Game this New Year’s. Iowa is ranked 23 while Vanderbilt is ranked 14. The teams will play in the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, on December 31. Kickoff will be at 11 a.m. Meanwhile, Iowa State University opted out of playing a bowl game due to a lack of healthy players. The Big 12 Conference announced it is issuing a $500,000 institutional fine to Iowa State for opting out of the bowl pool.
