An Asbury residence is a “complete loss” following a fire on Monday. Firefighters were on the scene of a structure fire on Asbury Road for several hours. First responders arrived shortly after 10 AM First responders from the Asbury Fire Department, Centralia-Peosta Fire Department and Dubuque Fire Department, as well as the Asbury Police Department, were on the scene. Traffic was blocked off on Asbury Road near the Meadows Golf Club until about 3:30 PM. According to a press release from the Asbury Fire Department, all occupants and a dog were evacuated upon initial arrival and were safe. There were no civilian injuries reported. The Iowa State Fire Marshal is investigating the incident, which does not appear suspicious at this time. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
