Measles count in SW Wisconsin increases again

Measles cases continue to rise in southwest Wisconsin, according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The regional outbreak in Iowa, Grant and Lafayette counties has reached 102 confirmed cases and six probable cases. Iowa County has reported 55 confirmed cases, including three additional cases since Tuesday. Grant County has nine confirmed cases. Lafayette County has 38 confirmed cases and six probable cases.  DHS recommends that all children receive two doses of the MMR vaccine by age 4. People born before 1957 are generally considered immune to measles.
