Wedewer Resigns As Dubuque County Treasurer

Dubuque County Treasurer Randy Wedewer has officially resigned from his position after being arrested in a prostitution sting last week. Dubuque County Auditor Kevin Dragotto announced the resignation Friday night. The resignation is effective immediately, and Dragotto will take over the office of the Dubuque County Treasurer until the position is filled. Wedewer is one of 11 men Dubuque Police and the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office arrested last week for allegedly soliciting prostitution as part of a two-day investigation into human trafficking.
