A 33-year-old Dubuque man will spend more than 15 years in prison after admitting to dealing crack cocaine near a college campus and two parks. Sentencing was handed down on Monday for Cory Dukes after he pled guilty in a US District Court to a count of distributing controlled substances within a thousand feet of a protected area following a prior felony drug conviction. He will also serve six years of supervised release after his prison time. According to reports, a second count of the same charge was dismissed as part of a plea deal. Dukes sold crack cocaine on two separate days last December in Dubuque. He has prior drug-dealing convictions in Iowa and Illinois.
