Dubuque Community School District officials on Monday again renewed discussions on the future of district facilities as they look to reduce operational costs. At a meeting of the district’s Facilities and Support Services Committee, school board members heard current enrollment and financial details and decided to schedule a dedicated meeting in the next 30 days to discuss the situation in more detail. While no decisions have been made, officials have floated the idea of reducing the district’s middle schools from three to two and reconfiguring or combining one or more elementary schools.
