The City of Dubuque Health Services Department seeks help locating a cat that bit someone on Tuesday. The cat is described as being “brown-and-black tiger stripe, with small patches of orange,” in color and weighing about 15 pounds. A report says an incident took place at about 5 p.m. Tuesday after a person found the cat on North Booth Street and was taking it to the Dubuque Regional Humane Society. The cat was last seen running from the humane society toward the Northwest Arterial. City officials seek public assistance in finding the cat to verify its health status and vaccination history. Anyone with information is asked to call the Health Services Department at 563-589-4185 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. during the week or Dubuque Law Enforcement Center at 563-589-4415 after hours or on the weekend.
