Charges have been dismissed against a Dubuque woman who was accused of striking someone with a handgun. 23 year old Anya Badu of Dubuque, previously was charged in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County with going armed with intent and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. A report say Assistant County Attorney Colista Anglese requested the dismissal based on the evidence currently available. Officers responded to West Locust Street on July 8th for a report of an assault. 40 year old Qiana Floyd who lived at the residence, told officers that Badu was dropped off at her residence that day and pulled out a handgun from her purse and struck her with it multiple times.
