Officials at an area hospital are starting to remove mask requirements for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. According to a release, Unity-Point Health Finley Hospital in Dubuque says vaccinated patients, visitors and staff won’t be required to wear a mask. The hospital does recommend masks for people with respiratory symptoms, those not fully vaccinated or those who are immuno-compromised. Also, they suggest a mask if you’ve had a known COVID-19 exposure or a positive COVID test in the 10 days before coming to Unity-Point Health Finley Hospital. Health care workers are still required to wear a mask when entering a patient’s room or performing any direct patient care.
