Dubuque Fatal Traffic Accident

A single-vehicle crash in Dubuque left one person dead and seriously injured two children. According to a Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office report, deputies were dispatched around 5am Sunday to the Northwest Arterial near JFK Road for debris on the roadway. Upon arrival, officials discovered the crash. The 24-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers – ages 6 and 7 – were taken to an area hospital, where both children were then transported by Med-Flight to University of Iowa Hospital. The names of those involved in the crash will be released later today (Mon). The accident remains under investigation.
