Dubuque County supervisors on Monday voted to hire Assistant County Engineer Russell Weber as the next county engineer. Weber will succeed Anthony Bardgett, who is leaving for a job with the Iowa Department of Transportation. Weber will officially begin his duties as the county engineer on July 17th. Weber’s salary will be $143,325. He is a state-certified engineer who has been employed by both Delaware and Dubuque counties.
