A 22-year-old Dubuque man will spend two years in federal prison after he took a plea deal more than 5 months ago. The US Attorney’s Office reports that Johnnie Raymond was sentenced to 2 years in prison and 3 years of supervised release. He pled guilty in July to a charge of being a prohibited person possessing a firearm. Authorities say that last March Raymond had a handgun while he was using a controlled substance. He has previously convicted on charges of gang participation and forgery.
