The Foundation for Dubuque Public Schools officials recently awarded more than $7,000 in grants to Dubuque Community Schools teachers. The classroom grants help fund supplies, equipment and innovative educational experiences throughout the district. A press release details that the teachers will use the funds for projects such as standing desks at Hempstead High School, classroom books at Thomas Jefferson Middle School and computer science/robotics-related curricula at several of the district’s elementary schools. A second round of applications for grants through the endowment will be accepted starting in mid-September and close at the end of October.
