The Dubuque County Board of Health has named a new director for the county health department. Reports say Allie White will take over the position in late December. She was selected for the position from a field of more than 50 candidates from a nationwide search. White is currently the health services coordinator for the Dubuque Community School District, and she previously has served as a health professional in several capacities in the area. White received her master’s degree in nursing administration from Fort Hays State University in Kansas and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Clarke University in Dubuque. The county health department has been without a permanent executive director since longtime leader Patrice Lambert retired at the end of last year.
