Dubuque Police say a bicyclist was injured Tuesday when he struck a vehicle in Dubuque. 72 year old James Jegerlehner of Dubuque, was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of his injuries. According to a crash report, the crash happened at about 5 p.m. Tuesday on Pennsylvania Avenue. A report says that a 16 year old was traveling east on Pennsylvania Avenue and passed Jegerlehner on his bicycle while approaching Marmora Avenue. The driver then turned right onto Marmora Avenue, at which point Jegerlehner struck her vehicle. Jegerlehner admitted to passing the driver on the right side and thought he may have been in the driver’s blind spot as she was completing the right turn. Jegerlehner was cited with passing on the wrong side.
