Burn Ban Lifted in Delaware County

A ban on open burning in Delaware County has been lifted. Emergency management officials made an announcement this morning that open burning can resume in the county. The ban had been in effect since June 23 due to dry conditions. Officials encouraged residents to “use good judgment” while burning and be conscious of where smoke might blow. The announcement also states that people should have multiple ways to put out a fire if needed.
