So far, so good for the Dubuque Community School District when it comes to snow days. This school year, there has only been only one day of school missed because of inclement weather. Superintendent Stan Rheingans says not having to cancel school for a snow day makes it a lot easier on teachers and students. The Iowa State Department of Education requires students to get 1,080 hours of classroom study in any given school year. With just one snow day so far this year, the last day of school will be June 3rd.
