Dubuque Named Iowa Thriving Community

Dubuque has joined 11 other communities selected as Iowa Thriving Communities, a new program hosted by the Iowa Finance Authority and Iowa Economic Development Authority. The program recognizes Iowa cities that use innovative solutions to enhance housing to residents of all income levels. The recognition gives involved communities additional scoring points when applying for both federal housing tax credits and workforce housing tax credits. A report says the tax credit programs provide funding for multi-family or single-family homes or complexes.
