Testimony was presented yesterday in Jackson County in the murder trial of 58 year old Christopher Prichard of Bellevue, who is charged in Iowa District Court of Jackson County with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife, 55 year old Angela Prichard. He has pleaded not guilty. Authorities found Angela Prichard dead from an apparent gunshot wound on Oct. 8, 2022, at the business she operated, Mississippi Ridge Boarding Kennels, in Bellevue. The two were separated at the time of her death, and a no-contact order against Christopher Prichard was in place for Angela Prichard. The state’s first witness was Wendy Budde, Angela Prichard’s sister. Budde testified that Angela Prichard was living with her at the time of her death and had been since late August 2022, when Angela Prichard had requested and received a no-contact order against her husband, Christopher.
