Funds are heading to 18 county farm bureaus in Illinois to help farmers implement nutrient stewardship practices. Since 2015, Illinois Farm Bureau has awarded about $1.8 million for over 150 county farm bureau-led nutrient products. The Jo Daviess County Farm Bureau is one of the organizations to be funded this year. Projects include things like cover crop plots, hosting field days, supporting research, and many other topics that contribute towards nutrient loss reduction strategy.
