Iowa Woman Used Deception to Get Medium-Duty Truck

Authorities say an eastern Iowa woman used deception to acquire a medium-duty truck in Delaware County. 41 year old Jennifer Dains of Cedar Rapids was arrested March 28th in Manchester on a charge of second-degree theft. According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department, Dains took a 2000 International 4900 truck on March 7th from an address in Manchester. Dains was in possession of a replacement title indicating that she had purchased the vehicle in February.  Authorities investigated and determined that Dains used deception to gain the title and transfers.
