In a release Friday, 3rd District Congressman Derrick Van Orden announced project requests made for the next fiscal year. Local projects for Fiscal Year 2025 Community Project Funding requests are:
- The Boscobel and Rural Fire Department to provide an up-to-date, well-equipped, Fire/EMS station
- The City of River Falls to upgrade fixed and portable radio systems used by police officers, firefighters, and other first responders
- The City of Viroqua to improve the drinking water quality and protect the environment by replacing or installing new water, sewer and storm sewer infrastructure
- The City of Cuba City to assist with replacing aging and failing water and sewer infrastructure located under STH 80 in conjunction with the WisDOT replacing the roadway
- The Prairie du Chien Wastewater Treatment Facility to complete a plant upgrade
