Fire Destroys Cascade Home

A Cascade home is a total loss following a garage fire Monday. According to the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department, deputies and firefighters responded at approximately 2:15 p.m. Monday to a residence on Fourth Avenue SE in Cascade for a report of a structure fire. An initial investigation indicates that the fire started in the garage and moved through the residence. The home, valued at approximately $180,000, is a total loss. It is owned by Maureen Menster of Sigourney, Iowa, and was being rented to a family member.
