The city of Dubuque will offer free collection of fallen tree limbs and branches after Monday night’s strong storms. The no-charge collection will begin today and end Tuesday, July 23. Storm-damaged limbs and branches must be placed at the curb or alley line where residents normally set out solid waste containers. Branches measuring less than three inches in diameter and no more than five feet in length should be tied together with rope or twine. Bundles of branches should be no more than 18 inches in diameter and weigh less than 40 pounds. Residents do not need to contact city staff to schedule limb or branch removal. Instead, collections will be performed by city yard waste crews on residents’ regularly scheduled trash and recycling collection day.
