The COVID-19 pandemic is having an adverse effect on the sale of lottery tickets. Mary Neubauer of the Iowa Lottery says a slowdown in ticket sales and declining interest rates are also affecting jackpot sizes in the Powerball game. Neubauer says if you happen to be the winner of a larger Iowa Lottery prize, you still have a way to collect your winnings. Neubauer says some states are offering internet based lottery sales, but Iowa is not one of them.
