City of Dubuque officials said a contractor for Comelec struck a Black Hills Energy Gas Line Tuesday morning around 9:15am on Graham Circle. Black Hills Energy crews went to the scene and made repairs. Eight homes were evacuated due to the gas leak, and residents of another home sheltered in place. Flammable gas readings were in the storm sewer, but no flammable readings were detected in any homes. The area was re-opened to traffic shortly after 1:00pm.
