Flood Safety Awareness Week tips

This week is Flood Safety Awareness Week.  Grant County experiences more flash flooding than any other county in Wisconsin, with 38 recorded events since 2006. A Facebook post from the Grant County Emergency Management lists some Flash Flood Safety Tips. Turn Around, Don’t Drown! Never drive through floodwaters. Even shallow water is dangerous. Just 6 inches of fast-moving water can knock down an adult, and 12-18 inches can carry away most vehicles.
