US Cellular laying off 4,100 employees nationwide

US Cellular plans to lay off about 4,100 positions across the country. According to a notice from US Cellular, US Cellular is selling all of its wireless operations to T-Mobile. The company said layoffs will begin June 2 or within 14 days after. Layoffs will affect remote employees and those employed in locations in 19 states including Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
