Teen injured in Dubuque County crash

On Thursday at 7:08 AM the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and Epworth Fire and EMS responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Gun Club Rd. approximately ½ mile north of Epworth. Investigation revealed that a 16-year-old male of Sherrill was southbound on Gun Club Road when he crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the trailer of a vehicle being towed by 48-year-old Ryan Schockemoehl of Cascade. Schockemoehl was uninjured in the accident and the 16-year-old male had series but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital Dubuque. The 16-year-old male was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
