Officials evacuated an area of Bellevue Sunday due to a report of a possible bomb threat, then confirmed the area was safe and reopened streets. Bellevue police were dispatched at approximately 10:35 a.m. to the 100 block of South Second Street for a possible bomb threat. According to a press release, the downtown area was evacuated and local streets were closed as authorities investigated the incident. No suspicious devices were found, and the downtown area was reopened shortly before 2 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
