Busy Dubuque intersection to see lane closures, detour this week

A construction project at a busy Dubuque intersection will cause lane closures and a detour this week. The project will construct accessible ramps at the intersection of Asbury Road and John F. Kennedy Road, according to a press release. Starting yesterday [Tuesday] through 5 p.m. Friday the northbound right-turn lane along JFK at Asbury will be closed with a detour. One southbound lane along JFK also will be closed at Asbury. Meanwhile, the eastbound right-turn lane along Asbury at JFK will be closed, although turning traffic will be able to use the open thru-lane. Motorists will need to follow the posted detour or use a different route during the closure.
