Authorities said a motorcyclist led law enforcement on a high-speed chase through parts of two counties. 20-year-old Vincent C. Hayes of Sherrill, Iowa, was arrested at approximately 11:45 p.m. Friday at a residence, according to Iowa State Patrol. Court documents state that an Iowa State Patrol aircraft observed Hayes’ motorcycle traveling south on Military Road Friday evening. Documents state that Hayes sped away from a pursuing state trooper, traveling more than 100 mph in a 40-mph zone. Aircraft followed the motorcycle through Dubuque County, into Clayton County, and maintained visual contact as it stopped at a residence. Responding officers detained Hayes at the residence.
