Man From Jackson County Get Years For Robbery

A 70-year-old man from Jackson County in eastern Iowa will spend at least 5 years in prison. Court reports show Garry Evilsizer of Miles, Iowa was given a 10-year sentence after pleading guilty to a charge of 2^nd-degree robbery. His charge was reduced from 1^st-degree robbery as part of his plea deal. Evilsizer is required to serve at least 5 of the 10 years he was sentenced to prison. Authorities say he used a knife to rob a convenience store in Miles on the night of January 4^th. He was taken into custody and arrested the next day following a traffic stop.
