One arrested for OWI following Dickeyville crash

One person was arrested for OWI following a single-vehicle crash in Dickeyville Sunday. The crash on happened on South Main Street near Sunset Lanes. 62-year-old Michael McDermott, of Cuba City, was traveling southbound on South Main Street when he crossed the center line, entering into oncoming traffic before leaving the roadway to the left. McDermott then struck a power pole, snapping it in half, causing it to land on his truck, before returning to the roadway and coming to a stop. McDermott was not injured during the crash. He was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence first offense, and cited for possessing open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.
