IBM To Close in Dubuque By November

Officials with IBM have informed employees that IBM intends to close its Dubuque operations by November. Employees in Dubuque would have the opportunity to relocate to an IBM facility in Columbia, Missouri. In 2009, IBM announced plans to open a service center in Dubuque’s Roshek Building and bring 1,300 jobs to the community. It reached 1,300 jobs in 2011, but that number has declined over the past few years, down to 344 employees now in Dubuque.
