Wisconsin reported two more cases of measles Tuesday in Grant County, part of an ongoing outbreak in southwestern Wisconsin. The state now has 36 confirmed cases this month according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Grant County Health Department. The source of the outbreak remains unknown.
The two new measles cases in Grant County are related to confirmed cases in Lafayette and Iowa counties recorded last week. Public health officials are continuing to notify people who may have been exposed. Since January, Wisconsin has recorded 41 measles cases and all but one have occurred in unvaccinated individuals. People in two cases were hospitalized.
