Authorities have identified the people involved in a fatal boating accident on Saturday. 62-year-old Wayne Ameskamp of Dyersville, and 61-year-old Michael Donahue of Bellevue were identified as the deceased individuals from Saturday’s accident. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources says three people were in a fishing boat in the Molo Slough in Pool 12 of the Mississippi River when their boat collided with a submerged object. The men were ejected from the boat. A third passenger in the boat, 62-year-old Sharon Ameskamp of Dyersville, was also ejected but she was able to swim to the shore, where she was rescued by passing boaters. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
