A former vice president of a Dubuque bank, whose lies led to more than $300-thousand dollars in losses, will spend 3 years on probation. Federal prosecutors say 66-year-old Dan Raduns was sentenced after pleading guilty to conspiracy to make a false statement to a financial institution. The complaint says Raduns and another person lied about how much money the bank was loaning for a construction project between 2007 and 2009. The bank ended up losing more than $320-thousand dollars on the project. Raduns was also ordered to pay $324-thousand dollars in restitution to the bank.
